Combat Cellulite !
Cellulite if often portrayed as an ailment, a horror, a get-rid-of-now affliction. One does not have to make an effort to read an article about the horrors of cellulite, there are enough, slap-on-the-face advertisements in almost each women's magazine that one comes across. Let us see what cellulite is.
The dictionary definition is A fatty deposit causing a dimpled or uneven appearance, as around the thighs and buttocks. The fat, which is very close to the surface of the skin, pushes against connective tissues in the skin to cause a dimpled appearance, called peau d orange in France (orange skin).
People (male and female) of all ages can have cellulite. Somehow what is seen as adorable on babies is horrifying on adults. Tabloid magazines in the grocery store show close-up photos of actresses and their shockingly normal bodies.
Creams lotions, and potions abound to rid our legs and thighs of any dimpled areas. What many people forget is this simple solution for cellulite: EXERCISE! In most cases, regular exercise such as biking or walking will rid you of cellulite and tone your legs and bottom. People obsess over the result, not the cause, of poor health. This is not to say that everyone should expect a perfectly toned body at any age, but certainly keeping oneself healthy is an optimal choice. Keep in mind that cellulite is NOT a disease and not an unhealthy characteristic of the body.
Cream, lotion or electrical appliances as a remedy will never be as good as a regular walk everyday to build up your confidence and a feeling of good health. The cellulite is just like any other fat tissue. Medical research papers have clearly brought out that cellulite is not unhealthy in itself unless you have too much of body fat.
Any supplement, topical product, device, or spa treatment that claims to reduce cellulite should be approached with caution for safety reasons and because they simply are not effective. Your best bet is to get regular sometimes strenuous, exercise and eat a diet that wont add on extra fat. Also, remember that each bodys pattern of fat distribution is inherited, so everyones problem areas are different.
For the people concerned with cellulite the U.S. National Library of Medicine has the following recommendation: Diet comprising of fruits, vegetables, and fiber Lots of fluids Regular exercise routine Normal weight with no yo-yo dieting No smoking - for reasons more than one.
